Vatican Museums
The Vatican Museums is part and property of the Vatican City, in Rome, and it’s considered one of the most prestigious collection of work of arts in the whole world.
Important parts of the Museum are also the Sistine chapel painted by Michelangelo and the Popes apartment painted by Raffaello, but the art gallery contains works of Leonardo, Giotto, Caravaggio as well as countless masterpieces of ancient art, medieval, renassaince and modern. The Museum is opened Monday to Saturday and offers free entrance on the last Sunday of the month.
